Itinerary
Begin your journey with a trek through the rolling savannahs of Sembalun, gradually ascending to the crater rim where you will camp for the night with spectacular views of the lake and summit.
- 07:00 AM – Registration: Official registration and medical briefing at the Sembalun Rinjani Information Center.
- 08:00 AM – Trail Commencement: Start the trek walking through Sembalun’s iconic, open savannahs. Preparation Note: The trail here is highly exposed to the sun. Pace yourself, hydrate continuously, and apply ample sun protection.
- 12:00 PM – Mountain Lunch: Pause at POS 2 (Tengengean) for a well-deserved rest and a freshly cooked lunch prepared by your porter team.
- 05:00 PM – Reaching the Rim: Arrive at the Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m). Your camp will be set up, offering breathtaking twilight views of the crater lake and the towering summit.
- 06:30 PM – Dinner & Early Rest: Enjoy a hearty dinner and rest early to prepare your body for the midnight summit push.
A challenging but rewarding day starting with a midnight push to the summit for sunrise, followed by a descent to the beautiful crater lake and relaxing hot springs.
- 02:00 AM – The Alpine Start: Wake up in the dark, consume a light, warm pre-dawn breakfast, and begin the summit attack.
- 06:00 AM – Conquer the Summit: Reach the Rinjani Summit (3,726m) just in time for a glorious sunrise. Safety Note: The summit push features steep, loose volcanic scree and is extremely cold and windy. Mental resilience is crucial.
- 09:00 AM – Second Breakfast: Descend back to the Crater Rim camp for a larger, satisfying second breakfast to refuel.
- 10:00 AM – Descent to the Lake: Begin the steep rocky descent down into the caldera towards the stunning Segara Anak Crater Lake.
- 02:00 PM – Arrival at Segara Anak & Hot Springs: Arrive at the lake. Take a short walk to the natural volcanic hot springs—the perfect, soothing remedy for your tired muscles.
- 05:00 PM – Lakeside Camping: Settle into your campsite right by the edge of the lake, enjoying a peaceful evening and dinner under the stars.
Descend through the stunning Torean route, walking along river valleys, roaring waterfalls, and lush rainforests before concluding your trek.
- 07:00 AM – Lakeside Breakfast: Enjoy a peaceful morning and breakfast by the tranquil waters of Segara Anak.
- 08:00 AM – The Torean Descent: Break camp and begin the trek out via the mystical Torean route. Trail Note: The Torean route is steep and narrow in places, requiring careful footing, but offers incredibly dramatic, "Jurassic Park-like" valley views.
- 12:00 PM – Waterfall Lunch: Stop for a spectacular lunch break near the majestic Penimbungan Waterfall, surrounded by deep green gorges.
- 04:00 PM – Triumphant Return: Emerge from the dense rainforest and arrive at Torean Village, marking the successful end of your epic 3-day expedition.
- 05:00 PM – Onward Journey: Enjoy a seamless vehicle transfer to your next destination on the island of Lombok.
