Itinerary
- 06:00 AM – Morning Preparation: Wake up to an early, nutritious breakfast at your accommodation to prepare for a physically demanding day.
- 07:00 AM – Registration & Medical Check: Proceed to the Rinjani Trekking Center (RTC) in Sembalun for your mandatory medical check and official park registration.
- 08:00 AM – Trail Commencement: Begin the trek walking through Sembalun’s iconic, rolling open savannahs. Preparation Note: The trail here is highly exposed to the sun. Hydrate continuously and apply ample sun protection.
- 12:00 PM – Mountain Lunch: Arrive at POS 2 (Tengengean) for a well-deserved rest and a freshly cooked, energy-boosting lunch.
- 01:00 PM – The Steep Climb: Resume the trek, facing a significantly steeper ascent as you push past POS 3 and conquer the notorious "Bukit Penyesalan" (Hill of Regret) towards the crater rim.
- 05:00 PM – Reaching the Rim: Arrive at the Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m) where your camp is already set up. Take in the dramatic views of the crater lake below.
- 06:30 PM – Dinner & Early Rest: Enjoy a hearty dinner. Due to the alpine start tomorrow, an early bedtime is crucial to recover and prepare for the summit attack.
- 02:00 AM – The Alpine Start: Wake up in the freezing dark. Consume a light, warm pre-dawn breakfast (hot tea and toast) to kickstart your metabolism.
- 02:30 AM – The Summit Push: Begin the grueling climb to the peak. Safety Note: The terrain consists of loose volcanic scree, often described as "two steps forward, one step back." The conditions are extremely cold and windy. Mental resilience is just as important as physical strength here.
- 06:00 AM – Conquer the Summit: Reach the Rinjani Summit (3,726m) just in time for a glorious sunrise. Stand at the highest point in West Nusa Tenggara, enjoying breathtaking, unobstructed views of Bali, Sumbawa, and the majestic crater below.
- 07:00 AM – Descent to Camp: Carefully begin the steep descent back down the scree slopes to your campsite at the Crater Rim.
- 09:00 AM – Second Breakfast: Arrive back at camp for a larger, highly satisfying second breakfast. Rest briefly while the team packs up the equipment.
- 10:00 AM – The Long Descent: Begin the long journey back down through the savannah towards Sembalun Village.
- 01:00 PM – Midday Break: Stop on the trail for a final lunch break prepared by your porter team.
- 04:00 PM – Triumphant Return: Arrive back at Sembalun Village, successfully concluding your extreme express expedition.
